People who suffer from gout frequently feel sorry for themselves, as they cannot have their favorite foods for the fear of aggravating their condition. These foods are invariably those that are rich in protein. Yes, a person afflicted with gout has to make some sacrifices in his/her diet, because a good gout diet is among the best home remedies for gout. But it’s not all that bad because first of all these are the foods that are responsible for those crippling bouts of pain. Secondly you need not deprive yourself of all your favorite protein rich foods. You just have to limit their intake, to ensure that your bloodstream doesn’t have high levels of uric acid.
The gout foods can make for very tasty meals. You can look forward to incorporating white bread, tapioca, cakes, cornflakes and pasta. Even diary products like milk, cheese, eggs make a good gout diet. You can also have soups, sweets, Jell-O fruits, nuts and peanut butter. If you are not going through an attack of gout pain you can also have fatty foods. And in the case of beverages you only have to drastically cut down on alcohol, you can have moderate amounts of coffee, tea soda, cocoa among others.
