During a gout attack you will want to reduce the pain in your joints areas as much as possible. You may use home remedies for gout as well as other medications.
Some of the medications you can take to reduce the pain and inflammation are:
1. Colchicine – this medication is aimed to reduce the inflammation caused by the uric acid in the blood stream and in the joints’ areas. Take into account that a common side effect is stomach problems.
2. Corticosteroids – This medication for gout can be taken by injection directly to the infected joint area.
3. NSAIDs – may be taken to reduce pain and inflammation. Aspirin consumption is forbidden
